Project Manager - Building Management System (BMS) Services

Role Overview

Our client based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a skilled Project Manager specialized in Building Management Systems (BMS) to oversee projects from initiation to final delivery. The successful candidate will combine technical engineering expertise with strong managerial skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and adhere to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive management of BMS projects, including planning, scheduling, procurement oversight, installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Steer project scope, timelines, budget controls, risk assessments, and allocation of resources for successful completion.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams spanning engineering and service divisions.
• Critically analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with client and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and track schedules, progress updates, cost analyses, and resource utilization plans.
• Ensure adherence to company policies related to quality, safety, and operations throughout project execution.
• Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring on-time and quality delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct regular project meetings, delivering updates on progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Manage amendments such as change orders, variations, and claims along with comprehensive documentation.
• Support installation, testing, integration, and commissioning activities on-site.
• Maintain thorough project documentation including method statements, submittals, approvals, as-built drawings, and handover files.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
• Identify and propose improvements to enhance project delivery processes continuously.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant project management experience, particularly with BMS, HVAC controls, automation, or similar building systems.
• Mandatory PMP certification.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Deep understanding of Building Management Systems, HVAC controls, energy management, and integrated automation solutions.
• Experience with BMS platforms, field devices, controllers, and integrating systems.
• Familiarity with project contracts, commercial terms, budgeting, and cost control.
• Well-versed in industry standards, safety regulations, and commissioning practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
