Senior Product Designer – UI

Role Overview

We seek a skilled Senior Product Designer specializing in UI to become a key member of our Digital Product Design team. The perfect candidate will have deep expertise in user interface and visual design, design systems, and constructing digital experiences, especially within banking, financial services, fintech, or other tightly regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft high-quality, user-friendly and visually pleasing interfaces for web, mobile, and digital banking applications.
• Convert complex business and customer needs into streamlined UI solutions including user flows, wireframes, detailed mockups, prototypes, and specifications.
• Design critical banking processes like account opening, onboarding, authentication, payments, credit facilities, investments, customer support, etc.
• Maintain design coherence across multiple platforms and user touchpoints.
• Enhance and evolve the organization's Design System and UI component library by developing reusable elements and interaction standards to ensure visual and functional uniformity.
• Collaborate extensively with developers to guarantee design integrity during implementation and identify ways to boost design scalability and efficiency.
• Apply visual design principles such as typography, layout, grids, color, icons, and interaction models to create polished, production-ready UI designs.
• Create prototypes that illustrate user journeys, transitions, and interactions, infused with modern UI/UX trends while fitting banking contexts.
• Work collectively with product managers, UX researchers, analysts, engineers, architects, and other designers through reviews, workshops, and presentations to iterate designs on insightful feedback.
• Design banking experiences compliant with relevant regulations, security protocols, accessibility requirements, and internal design standards emphasizing transparency, trust, and clarity.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Between 5 to 10 years of professional background in Product Design, UI Design, or related fields.
• A robust portfolio that showcases thorough digital product and UI design expertise.
• Experience crafting web and mobile apps preferably for banking, fintech, financial services, or similar enterprise sectors.
• Solid understanding of visual design, interaction design, responsive design, prototyping, design systems, information architecture, accessibility, and usability principles.
• Competence in typography, color theory, spacing, grid systems, layouts, and visual hierarchy.
• Proficiency in Figma and other modern design/prototyping tools.
• Expertise in managing component libraries and design systems.
• Capability to interpret complex business requirements into friendly and accessible user experiences.
• Strong ability to collaborate with engineering teams and adapt designs respecting technical boundaries.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, and ability to manage various stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Familiarity with retail, corporate, digital banking, payments, lending, cards, wealth management or fintech products.
• Experience with enterprise design systems.
• Knowledgeable about WCAG accessibility standards and native iOS/Android mobile design guidelines.
• Experience integrating usability testing and user research outcomes.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS.
• Experience designing for diverse markets, languages, or geographies is an advantage.
