Acting as the government's principal economic and financial advisor, the Treasury focuses on enhancing living standards for present and future generations through inclusive economic and social policies. Our diverse team addresses complex national issues such as child wellbeing, climate change, health, housing, and sustainable public finance, providing essential advice and support to Ministers, Crown Chief Executives, and government decision-makers.
Enabling Services is a central function within the Treasury that ensures the organisation's smooth operation by managing systems, people practices, technology, workplaces, governance, ministerial and stakeholder engagement, and transparent operations. We assist with strategic planning, performance reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement by partnering with business groups to enhance capability and systems.

You will coordinate activities from initial planning through to completion, ensure accurate reporting and budgeting, and facilitate collaboration among multiple teams and stakeholders. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of initiatives and complex service requests from start to finish.
- Support the portfolio and programme functions including reporting, planning, budgeting, and project closure procedures.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide progress updates, and ensure project success.
- Coordinate resources, documentation, and delivery activities across diverse teams.
- Promote continuous improvement and share knowledge within the team.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated strong skills in planning, organisation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience supporting delivery in technology, project management, or service outcomes.
- Advanced communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills and digital competence.
- Awareness of project management, PMO, or service delivery methodologies is advantageous.
- Commitment to and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in IT or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
What We Offer

Benefits include flexible working arrangements, wellbeing initiatives, and the opportunity to engage with meaningful national issues. This role also provides chances to expand your expertise, build networks across government, and influence how Treasury delivers and reports its work.
