Job description
Primary Role Overview
The Project Analyst is tasked with independently and objectively evaluating projects within PEPS to identify potential risks and challenges. The role involves analyzing projects to ensure they meet their approved goals, timelines, and budgets, and offering recommendations to address any issues. Additionally, the analyst provides unbiased assessments of project performance and outcomes, aligning with QatarEnergy’s objectives and value creation standards. This includes conducting project audits, reviews, and leveraging contractor market insights relevant to PEPS projects. Establishing communities that promote best practices in project management within PEPS is also a key responsibility.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 20 years of experience in engineering, project management, and multi-disciplinary project execution.
- A minimum of 10 years holding leadership roles in project management, ideally as a Project Manager, with a successful background in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven expertise in formulating project execution strategies, managing project processes, HSEQ standards, and conducting project evaluations in both oil and gas and infrastructure sectors.
- Strong interpersonal skills complemented by leadership capabilities and team-building strengths.
Educational Background
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field from an accredited university; advanced degrees are considered a plus.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering or project management organization is advantageous.
