Job description
Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will conduct studies and oversee the development, evaluation, and planning of electrical infrastructure projects. These efforts focus on ensuring adequate electrical facilities within the Industrial Cities Directorate area, including port regions, to support the current and future expansion needs of Asset Operators, Business Partners, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves providing expert guidance and support for project development related to shared electrical infrastructure. The incumbent will actively collaborate with Asset Operators, Business Partners, QatarEnergy Surface Development, KAHRAMAA, and other stakeholders to identify synergies and develop conceptual studies, engineering designs, project execution schemes, and comprehensive development plans.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design, engineering, and construction of significant electrical infrastructure projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors, with ideally 8 to 10 years spent at consulting or engineering firms. Experience encompassing the entire project lifecycle and strong project management and supervisory capabilities is essential. International exposure and cultural awareness are highly valued. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized international institution.
