About the Role
Join Parsons in Abu Dhabi as a Lead Document Controller within the PMO, where you will direct document control and governance efforts across large-scale capital programs. Parsons fosters a culture valuing people, agility, and innovation, empowering employees to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee PMO-wide document control policies, including standards, workflows, naming conventions, and metadata management.
- Maintain master registers encompassing planning, design, drawings, permits, contracts, RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and asset documentation.
- Administer and configure document management and PMIS platforms such as Unifier, SharePoint, ProjectWise, and Aconex to manage roles, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure consistency, data quality, security, and traceability of information across all document repositories and program databases, generating dashboards and status reports.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, records retention requirements, public records laws, and contractual documentation obligations.
- Manage submission, review, approval workflows; track submittals, RFIs, and changes to meet contractual deadlines.
- Serve as the primary liaison for document and data control across PMO projects and support teams including project controls, scheduling, and risk.
- Lead, mentor, and train document control staff and PMO partners; monitor KPIs; and implement process improvements and automation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of advanced experience in document control, records, or data management within large capital programs or portfolios.
- Experience in wastewater, water, environmental, or utility infrastructure projects, preferably within a PMO or public agency context.
- Proven expertise in administering enterprise-level EDMS/PMIS for multi-project programs, including development and enforcement of program-level document control standards.
- Strong knowledge of document control processes including lifecycle and version control, with keen attention to detail and data integrity.
- Proficient in major document/PMIS platforms such as Unifier, SharePoint, ProjectWise, and Aconex.
- Familiarity with documentation requirements and regulatory submissions for wastewater utilities.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, coupled with leadership or team management experience.
