About the Role

Join ABB to contribute to industrial efficiency and sustainability as a Production Scheduler in Nelamangala, Karnataka. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be instrumental in creating detailed production schedules to optimize resource use and meet production targets while ensuring adherence to schedules and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee production plans to align with customer delivery deadlines and manufacturing goals.
  • Coordinate and execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to secure material availability and maintain smooth production operations.
  • Define production routing, sequencing, and determine accurate lead times consistent with the master production plan.
  • Track and analyze production performance versus plans, manage variances, and enforce corrective measures to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle production orders, manage inventory for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods, and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) data within SAP/ERP systems.
  • Generate Management Information System (MIS) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams—including Procurement, Inventory, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance—as well as external vendors to support production operations.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication (ECE), Mechanical, Instrumentation, or allied engineering disciplines.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or inventory management in an OEM or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, shop floor processes, scheduling, MRP, and capacity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP software focusing on BOM maintenance, production orders, and manufacturing execution processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP for preparation of detailed MIS reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards, Kaizen continuous improvement methodologies, and quality management practices in manufacturing environments.
  • Effective communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management capabilities, with readiness to travel up to 10% as needed.
