Production Operator

Overview

Join McCain Foods at our Carberry, Manitoba facility as a Production Operator committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. In this full-time, onsite role, you'll contribute to producing high-quality food products while supporting a culture built on family values and trusted performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established good manufacturing practices to ensure product quality and workplace safety.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
• Accurately measure and report equipment settings to maintain optimal operations.
• Execute all aspects of Operator Asset Care (O.A.C.) within assigned work areas.
• Perform cleaning and inspection of production lines, maintaining sanitation standards including scraping scales, sweeping floors, and disposing of damaged product appropriately.
• Operate equipment efficiently to create high-quality products and promptly report any equipment issues to supervisors.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including recording information and data entry into computer systems.
• Carry out clean-up and shutdown tasks that may involve deep cleaning, sweeping, use of chemicals, high-pressure hosing, and other sanitation duties.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to push and pull heavy items such as rolls of poly, high-pressure hoses, garbage containers, vacuum equipment, pallets, and cases.
• Lifting capability of approximately 25 to 44 pounds, including reaching up to heights of 6 feet.
• Willingness and ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary.
• Frequent bending, crouching, standing for long periods, and continuous walking during shifts.
