Work Location and Schedule
This is an on-site position requiring attendance five days a week in Galway, County Galway, Ireland.
Job Summary
As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling refrigeration units within an experienced operator team. Your work will align with Thermo King’s strict customer requirements, safety, quality procedures, and unit options. Initial training will be provided by experienced staff, including product familiarization and safety protocols.
Tools and Equipment
You will use a variety of hand and power tools such as torque spanners, air guns, belt tension gauges, alignment bars, pop rivet guns, jigs, and fixtures relevant to the tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble all parts allocated to your station following Thermo King’s specifications, station instructions, and unit options, utilizing Operator Method Sheets (O.M.S.), Total Quality Check (T.Q.C.), Sequences of Events (S.O.E.s), and Dynamic Control Process (D.C.P.).
- Use the correct station-assigned tools and equipment at all times.
- Conduct visual inspections of completed tasks, sign off on Quality Assurance cards, and advance the unit to the next station.
- Identify and report any quality or engineering issues promptly to supervisors and relevant personnel including Area Manager, Line Technician, PDI, Flow Cell Leader, and Engineers, ensuring proper updates to S.O.E.s where necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
- Use provided safety equipment and proactively communicate any safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Leaving Certificate pass.
- Trade qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Applicants will be required to undergo dexterity and aptitude testing as part of the selection process.
