Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Partner for our Galway facility to ensure the reliable functioning of IT systems and infrastructure. This permanent role demands a minimum of 3 years' experience in IT support, excellent technical skills, and the ability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance for PCs, peripherals, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, access, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with PC deployment using Autopilot, imaging, configuration, upkeep, and hardware replacement.
- Oversee the lifecycle management and record-keeping of hardware assets following standard procedures.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including technology setup.
- Contribute to server and networking equipment installation and maintenance.
- Maintain IT system security with emphasis on cybersecurity best practices, including operational technology security for devices in the OT environment.
- Provide outstanding customer support to users both onsite and remotely.
- Document and track incident reports, resolutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Coordinate with other IT personnel and departments to guarantee smooth IT operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and system updates.
- Engage in IT enterprise and local projects, including rollouts and site-specific support tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 3 years’ experience in IT support or a comparable role.
- Strong verbal and written English communication capabilities.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting PCs, peripheral devices, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Familiarity with servers, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles is advantageous.
- Capability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities proactively and efficiently.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) are beneficial.
Additional Information
- This position requires onsite presence at the Galway facility, with potential after-hours support duties.
- Occasional travel to the Shannon office may be necessary.
