Role Overview

The Product Engineer will play a pivotal role in transforming genuine client challenges into user-friendly, dependable software solutions. Collaborating closely with founders, UX designers, and operators, this engineer will identify priority problems and develop solutions, continuously refining them based on real user interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with property managers and internal teams to deeply understand workflows, identify pain points, and prioritize impactful problem-solving efforts.
• Design and implement end-to-end software features, including front-end UI, back-end services, integrations, testing, and deployment, maintaining ownership of the entire product lifecycle and its live performance.
• Partner with designers to craft intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex rental operations, enabling users to complete tasks confidently and efficiently.
• Develop event-driven automated workflows to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, such as scheduling cleanings post-booking, dispatching check-in instructions, and producing owner financial statements.
• Leverage AI technologies including large language models and AI agents to automate guest messaging, manage maintenance triage, support pricing decisions, and help operators optimize portfolio management.
• Build robust APIs and integrations with key platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, among others in the short-term rental ecosystem.
• Develop solutions addressing real operational challenges including real-time reservation and availability syncing, dynamic pricing, smart lock/key management, multi-channel guest communications, check-in processes, operational forecasting, maintenance and cleaning automation, owner financial reporting, and AI-powered monitoring and alerts.
• Use data from user feedback, product analytics, and operational metrics to iteratively improve features and assess their impact on efficiency, accuracy, and user satisfaction.
• Make thoughtful technical decisions that ensure a balance between development speed, maintainability, security, and reliability to support growing user and property bases.
