About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker and gain valuable experience in a busy retail setting. This position contributes to an excellent shopping environment by maintaining a neat and fully stocked fresh produce area while providing friendly customer service aligned with Walmart's core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized produce section that is inviting and ready for shoppers at all times.
- Regularly inspect and rotate products to guarantee freshness and remove any expired items.
- Ensure all produce is accurately priced and correctly signed, handling all requirements related to ordering, markdowns, and signage.
- Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, including cold chain management, temperature checks, and proper handling of perishables according to sell-by dates.
- Stock and downstock inventory as needed, apply necessary product protections, and arrange display units to ensure shelves remain full.
- Comply with health and safety standards to maintain a secure and hygienic workplace.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet store demands.
Challenges
- Manage overnight hours efficiently to maintain energy and focus throughout demanding shifts.
- Handle a high volume of restocking tasks accurately and timely in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform physically demanding activities such as standing long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, plus repetitively organizing and zoning products.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
