Position Overview

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, you will gain valuable experience working in a fast-moving retail environment. Key Duties

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the produce department to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce and remove outdated items to uphold quality and freshness.
• Verify accurate pricing and signage, adhering to procedures for ordering, clearances, marking adjustments, labels, and signs.
• Comply with food safety standards including proper sanitation and cold chain management such as temperature monitoring, correct food handling, and adherence to sell-by and expiry dates.
• Perform stocking and downstocking activities, apply product protection as necessary, and arrange displays including modulars and shelf caps to keep shelves fully supplied.
• Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a secure and clean workplace.
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Challenges

• Handle a fast-paced workload involving substantial restocking and recovery efforts, especially during overnight shifts requiring careful energy and focus management.
• Undertake physical tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 20 pounds normally and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Consistently perform repetitive stocking and organizing tasks with keen attention to details and standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.05 CAD.
