Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker and gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the produce department in a clean, organized, and neatly arranged state to ensure continuous readiness for shoppers.
  • Regularly rotate stock, remove expired items, and monitor product freshness to guarantee quality.
  • Accurately price and sign produce items, adhering to established procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, labels, and signage.
  • Comply with food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols such as temperature monitoring, proper thermometer use, safe food handling, and respect for sell-by/expiration dates.
  • Stock and downstock merchandise as necessary, apply product protection, and set up modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to keep inventory fully stocked.
  • Adhere strictly to Health and Safety policies to maintain a secure and clean workplace.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business requirements and ensure smooth store operations.

Challenges in the Role

  • Effectively manage overnight shifts and maintain focus and energy throughout demanding work periods.
  • Handle a high volume of restocking and recovery tasks quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Conduct repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing with precision to meet store standards consistently.
