About the Role
We are searching for a seasoned Procurement Manager stationed in Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, fluent in both Arabic and English, to spearhead and enhance procurement operations throughout our diversified group. This individual will be crucial in overseeing strategic sourcing, managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, optimizing costs, ensuring governance compliance, and guaranteeing the timely availability of goods and services for various business units.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies that resonate with the organization's overarching objectives.
- Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle from sourcing, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating terms, to issuing purchase orders and contracts.
- Identify, assess, and cultivate dependable suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, payment schedules, and delivery conditions.
- Build and maintain robust supplier relations and continuously monitor their performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, approval workflows, and Saudi regulatory requirements in all procurement processes.
- Maintain approved supplier databases, procurement documents, and contracts.
- Monitor spending trends, identifying opportunities for cost reductions and process enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Projects, Legal, and other departments to understand needs and facilitate timely procurement.
- Manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and compile reports for management.
- Define key procurement performance indicators and generate routine management updates.
- Evaluate supplier-related risks and develop alternative sourcing plans when needed.
- Champion the digital transformation and automation of procurement workflows and systems.
- Lead, coach, and ensure the procurement team follows industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least eight years of pertinent procurement experience, preferably in a large diversified conglomerate or multi-business setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and overall procurement operations.
- Well-versed with the Saudi supplier market and procurement ecosystem.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical abilities, negotiation proficiency, and adeptness in stakeholder management.
- Experience with ERP or procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
