Job Purpose
This role is critical to guiding the Technology unit's operations by setting clear priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and translating business requirements into structured IT plans. The position aims to enhance operational efficiency, facilitate informed decision-making, and foster sustainable growth by optimizing technology resources, fortifying governance, and supporting the successful execution of IT projects that boost overall business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the IT Department’s planning capabilities to align with organizational strategy and future directions.
- Develop and improve planning, governance, and performance management frameworks that enhance transparency, accountability, and decision quality within IT.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure readiness for shifting business demands, support transformative initiatives, and accommodate future scaling needs.
- Contribute to building a forward-looking, scalable IT function capable of continuous growth and delivering demonstrable business value.
- Maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders including suppliers and partners to ensure IT priorities are met and value maximized.
- Promote ongoing enhancements in planning, operational synchronization, and governance to create an agile, mature IT organization.
- Provide strategic input from unit perspectives in line with Red Sea Global’s mission.
- Oversee preparation of planning reports, performance metrics, and dashboards, ensuring timely delivery of insights to leadership.
- Participate in budget development and financial monitoring for the IT Section or Unit.
- Coordinate planning activities across the IT department, ensuring that priorities, schedules, and deliverables are closely tracked and met.
- Manage and support relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and partners to fulfill planning needs and ensure seamless IT initiatives execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology-related disciplines such as Engineering, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Advanced degrees (Master’s, MBA, or related certifications) are advantageous.
- Over 8 years of proven experience combining engineering, finance, procurement, and IT with preference for technology-driven environments.
- Good understanding of financial and procurement procedures.
- Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving proficiency.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functional groups and with external vendors.
- Experienced in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant technological tools.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
