Job description
Overview
If you enjoy the challenge of ensuring products reach the correct place at the right time, this procurement and supply role is tailored for you. As the Procurement and Supply Specialist at Hynds Pipe Systems, you will be pivotal in managing procurement and inventory. You will serve as the essential connector between customer demands and our delivery capabilities through hands-on tasks such as order placement, inventory movement, and resolving supply chain obstacles.
Key Responsibilities
- Issuing accurate purchase orders promptly to maintain smooth stock supply.
- Following up on expected delivery times, resolving supply issues, and identifying suitable substitutes during shortages.
- Overseeing inventory management across various locations by recognizing trends, balancing stock levels, and ensuring system accuracy.
- Collaborating with international vendors on forecasting, logistics, and monitoring supplier performance.
- Keeping branches and customers informed while contributing to sales and operations planning (S&OP), stocktaking, and reconciliation activities.
Candidate Profile
- Background in purchasing, planning, or supply management roles.
- Proficiency with data and systems to generate reports and interpret data insights.
- Strong attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and talent for establishing relationships across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated good judgment, discretion, and commercial awareness.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and collaborative in approach.
