Job description
Role Overview
Hynds Pipe Systems Limited invites experienced Fabricator Welders to join our Pokeno manufacturing team. This full-time position focuses on fabricating precision production equipment with close cooperation alongside our Mechanical Designer to enhance and refine designs, ensuring millimetre-level accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble high-spec manufacturing equipment for various company sites.
- Perform welding tasks using Arc, MIG, TIG, and stainless steel techniques.
- Operate machinery including lathes, mills, presses, and other workshop tools.
- Develop and troubleshoot engineering solutions, maintaining ownership until resolution.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately.
- Manage material ordering, spare parts inventory, and maintain a clean, safe workspace employing 5S principles.
- Support manufacturing operations by working across workshop and site locations as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Certified Welder skilled in Arc, MIG, TIG, and stainless welding with ideally over three years of hands-on experience.
- Proficient in lathe, mill, and press operations, comfortable within a fitter's workshop environment.
- Holder of a valid New Zealand Class 1 driver's license.
- Experienced in forklift operation within workshop settings.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, CAD, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is advantageous.
- Practical understanding of mechanical systems evidenced by capacity to disassemble and reassemble equipment with improvements.
