Customer Service Representative with Delivery Duties

About the Role

Join Hynds Pipe Systems Limited in Rotorua as a key customer service professional who also manages truck deliveries. This position blends excellent customer interaction with operational logistics, focusing on supporting customers within civil, water, wastewater, and drainage sectors. You will assist customers in securing the right products, processing orders, and ensuring prompt, safe deliveries using the company's HIAB truck.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service including advising, quoting, order handling, and resolving queries both face-to-face and via phone.
• Conduct delivery of customer orders accurately, on schedule, and handle proof of delivery documentation efficiently.
• Load and secure trucks properly, operate the HIAB crane responsibly, and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
• Maintain thorough and accurate driver records such as cartage logs, NZTA logbooks, and timesheets.
• Contribute to branch operations including yard maintenance, inventory management, forklift operation, and processing incoming goods during non-driving periods.
• Manage administrative tasks involving invoicing, receipts, credit notes, and filing.
• Demonstrate leadership by ensuring health and safety compliance on the road and job sites.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills, with a focus on interpersonal communication and client satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Holds a full New Zealand Class 4 driver’s license; prior HIAB/crane operation experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Physically able to perform loading, unloading, and yard tasks.
• A dependable, adaptable team player who prides themselves on quality work and effective communication.
• Prior knowledge of the relevant industry products is a plus, but willingness to learn is valued highly.
