Role Overview

Process Assistants play a vital role within Amazon's Middle Mile operations, significantly contributing to the continuous growth and success of the team. This role involves overseeing daily departmental responsibilities such as labor allocation, conducting meetings, assigning tasks, guiding associates, and liaising with both internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to protect personnel and maintain operational integrity.
• Manage daily departmental operations including labor distribution, leading meetings, and task assignments.
• Support associates by supervising their daily work activities and promoting excellent service delivery.
• Track and assess workflow and on-site performance, sharing critical shift updates with front-line management to uphold operational excellence.
• Assist Shift and Area Managers with project initiatives aimed at process improvements, workplace safety, and enhancing employee engagement.
• Engage in Operational Excellence programs to foster continuous improvement.
• Comprehend workflow and production targets on a daily basis.
• Drive area performance by monitoring, reporting, and providing feedback on associate outputs.
• Identify workplace safety hazards and actively participate in safety-related initiatives.
• Coach team members on safe working practices at all times.
• Function as an associate resource on the floor, offering training and ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Provide Shift Manager coverage when necessary.

Requirements

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Physical capability to lift items up to 49 pounds, and to stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours, with frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
