Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RMET)

Role Overview

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of key machinery within the facility. As an RME Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining various equipment and workplace environments while strictly adhering to Health and Safety guidelines. Your efforts will help maintain a secure environment for colleagues and minimize machine downtime. Additionally, you will contribute to boosting equipment availability and quality, alongside enhancing the working environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive and preventative maintenance on a diverse set of site machinery.
• Perform reactive repairs and diagnose faults within a dynamic distribution warehouse setting.
• Utilize up-to-date tools to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of equipment.
• Adhere rigorously to all health and safety regulations and practices.
• Provide support in developing and advancing apprentices on-site.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices across multiple European sites.

Basic Qualifications

• Possess NVQ Level 3 certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics, or have completed a certified 4-year apprenticeship within the UK.
• Be prepared to work flexible schedules including shifts that cover nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Hold relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
• Demonstrate experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance roles.
• Exhibit advanced proficiency in the local language, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience complying with safety standards for material handling equipment (MHE) aligned with OEM and safety protocols.
• Background in the operation and upkeep of robotic systems.
