Job Summary
We are looking for a Principal Solution Architect to join our expanding server division. This role involves collaborating closely with external customers and the design team to guide the development and enhancement of storage server products. The candidate will also be responsible for creating aggressive go-to-market strategies, crafting product roadmaps, and positioning our in-house server offerings strategically to maximize market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive use cases focused on rack management, power, and cooling within our software products.
- Guide software design decisions to enhance data center space utilization, power efficiency, and cooling effectiveness.
- Perform in-depth analysis of client environments and requirements to architect effective solutions and uncover gaps.
- Lead and manage technical solutions addressing customer needs in alignment with business goals.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional units including product, manufacturing, sales, and field technical teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Act as a customer advocate, leveraging feedback to drive product and process advancements.
- Create reference materials such as user manuals, troubleshooting guides, scripts, and operational runbooks.
- Enhance internal workflows to improve efficiency for both customers and internal teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers fostering adoption of Supermicro solutions.
- Apply robust project management, technical proficiency, and communication skills to facilitate collaboration across stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years in solution architecture, product management, and software development specifically focused on DCIM management systems.
- Proficiency in programming and experience with RESTful API integration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data center operations including power distribution, cooling infrastructures, rack management, and environmental monitoring protocols.
- Experience working with time-series databases, real-time data processing, and developing monitoring dashboards for critical infrastructure systems.
