Principal Software Engineer

You'll be working with Health100, an AI-native health technology platform that integrates pharmacies, providers, insurers, and digital health tools into one consumer-focused system, leveraging Google Cloud AI to transform personalized health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and strategic direction for cloud-native, backend, automation, and platform technologies, addressing complex challenges and ensuring aligned execution across teams.
• Act as the senior technical leader for high-impact projects, shaping architecture, guiding engineering processes, and maintaining consistent delivery standards across multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leaders, product teams, and open-source contributors to set platform roadmaps and influence core system frameworks and design principles.
• Lead development efforts from prototype phases to production deployments, focusing on performance, security, reliability, and operational readiness of essential components.
• Champion innovation and execution excellence by applying expert technical judgment, managing competing priorities, fostering cross-team collaboration, and keeping up with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years in software development, including hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and enterprise-grade distributed systems.
• At least 5 years working with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures, including 2 or more years utilizing Kafka or similar event-driven platforms.
• Over 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent public cloud services.
• Application of security, resiliency, availability, and scalability best practices in production environments for 3 or more years.
• Experience developing AI or generative AI technologies and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the healthcare, wellness, or pharmacy industries.
• Engagement in open-source contributions or patent development.
• Capabilities in full-stack software development.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration to achieve company-wide objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

The salary for this position typically ranges between €80,000 and €230,000 annually.
