Job Overview
As a Go Software Engineer on the Shield team, you will develop and maintain robust systems while addressing customer issues promptly. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help deliver solutions that meet customer needs. This role demands a passion for development with experience in backend development using Golang, Kubernetes, Microservices, and familiarity with front-end aspects. Experience or exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) duties is highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in system design and architecture to produce technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code primarily in Go; knowledge of Python and Java is advantageous.
- Implement backend services, APIs, and data pipelines adhering to best practices and design patterns.
- Integrate backend components with third-party services and external APIs ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Apply automated testing frameworks and work with QA engineers to maintain system quality and resolve defects swiftly.
- Keep technical documentation accurate and current; provide technical assistance to team members and stakeholders.
- Adhere to InfoSum's security and privacy policies, maintaining vigilance towards information security during all tasks.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in software development with proficiency in JavaScript and preferably Go.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of database systems including SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate in cross-functional settings.
- Self-driven with a strong responsibility and ownership attitude.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with Python and/or Java programming languages.
- Experience using observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Knowledge of Postgres database systems.
- Interest in data privacy, AdTech/MarTech, or large-scale data processing technologies.
- Experience with Kafka, gRPC, or Apache Spark technologies.
