Program Overview
The Store Management position is a development-focused opportunity designed to prepare candidates for a Store Manager role within CVS. This 16-week program combines self-paced study and collaborative training with both virtual and practical store-based experiences. Trainees will be supported by a team including a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Deliver effective verbal and written communication to lead and support your team.
- Provide exceptional customer service to uphold high standards of care.
- Implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth within the store.
- Manage store inventory and assets to ensure profitability.
Expectations and Commitment
- Engage actively with leadership in key learning experiences designed to promote your advancement during the program.
- Assist as a management team member in your store, consistently embodying CVS values and policies.
- Motivate and engage colleagues in alignment with CVS's mission of "helping people on their path to better health."
- Be open to promotion opportunities within your market and be willing to transfer between stores as needed.
Important Note
Selection into this program does not guarantee a promotion to Store Manager. Promotions depend on multiple factors, including performance and availability of positions.
Eligibility Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- Retail management experience or prior experience as a CVS Supervisor is required.
Working Conditions
- Expected weekly hours: approximately 45 hours.
- Employment type: full-time with schedule flexibility to meet business needs.
- Willingness to accept promotion or transfer within the designated market area.
Compensation and Benefits
The typical hourly pay range is $18.50 to $23.88. Actual salary offers depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
