About the Role
Join CVS Health in East Stroudsburg, PA, as a Store Manager in Training (SMIT), a career development position aimed at preparing individuals to become future store leaders. This role offers a 16-week collaborative and self-paced training program combining virtual and hands-on learning experiences with mentorship from district and store leaders.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to guide and support store teams.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth within the store.
- Monitor and manage inventory and store assets to maintain profitability.
- Engage in key learning activities to advance toward a store manager promotion.
- Support the management team by leading according to company values and policies.
- Encourage colleagues to embrace CVS's commitment to helping people on their health journeys.
- Be open to accepting promotions and transfers within the designated market area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but relevant work experience may substitute.
- Previous retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor is necessary.
- Ability to accept promotions and relocate within the designated market.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business demands.
Compensation and Work Hours
The expected weekly work schedule is approximately 45 hours. The typical hourly pay ranges from $18.50 to $23.88, influenced by experience, education, location, and other factors.
