Role Overview

The Data department, headquartered in Bangkok, plays a vital role in supporting Agoda's data needs through cutting-edge solutions such as operational and analytical databases, queue systems, BI tools, and data science technology. We focus on empowering decision-makers company-wide and enhancing customer experiences by improving search efficiency and fraud protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve high-impact challenges within Agoda.
• Convert vague problems into clear, measurable goals and technical approaches.
• Lead the creation and implementation of machine learning, AI, and analytical tools.
• Manage solutions from defining problems and experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and refinement.
• Collaborate with leaders across teams to develop strategic plans and roadmaps.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship within the data science community.

Essential Qualifications

• Deep practical experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Proven success in deploying production models that generate tangible customer or business value.
• Proficient with Python and SQL; adept at handling large-scale data and ML systems.
• Capable of influencing senior management and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

• Background in online travel, e-commerce, search algorithms, ranking, recommendations, pricing, or personalization.
• Familiarity with deploying production-level large language models (LLM) or generative AI applications.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
