Porter - Retail

Role Overview

As a Porter specializing in retail, your primary duty will be to manage stock logistics between warehouses, sub-stores, and Qatar Duty Free (QDF) outlets. Ensuring that inventory is accurately positioned and received on time is key to maintaining continuous sales flow and minimizing stock breakages or shortages.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive stock from warehouses and deliver it to sub-stores and QDF shops to prevent stock depletion.
• Handle merchandise carefully to avoid damage during transit and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of operational spaces and equipment within sub-stores for a smooth working environment.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at Hamad International Airport, promptly reporting incidents or violations to the Assistant Merchandiser.
• Carry out additional departmental assignments as required by the department head.

Candidate Profile

• Completion of high school education mandatory.
• Professional experience of up to two years preferred.
• Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 165 pounds and pull heavy stock carts.
• Strong organizational skills to efficiently plan and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Basic arithmetic skills necessary for accurate inventory counting.
• Proficiency in English communication.
