Job Summary

The Porter role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the front areas such as tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables, counters, and floors before, during, and after peak service times.
• Handle dishes, utensils, and equipment following safety guidelines while transporting them between front of house and kitchen.
• Wash dishes, pots, and glasses thoroughly by hand or with dishwashing equipment, ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of display equipment throughout meal service to comply with health and safety standards.
• Assist with receiving heavy deliveries, transporting goods safely to storage areas abiding by proper lifting techniques.
• Follow HACCP standards for proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature management.
• Adhere to company safety procedures including use of gloves, mitts, slip-resistant footwear, and safe handling of equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to physically handle tasks such as cleaning, lifting, and transporting items following safety protocols.

Working Hours and Location

This is a full-time position located at Delta Sky Club, 2642 World Gateway Place, Detroit, MI 48242. Shifts may vary between 5:00 am – 2:30 pm or 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. Further scheduling details will be provided during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a fixed wage of $17.75 per hour.
