Role Summary

The PMO Engineer is key to supporting project execution by consolidating and managing progress, schedules, costs, risks, and documentation across the entire project lifecycle. This role ensures timely and accurate reporting for management and clients and enforces PMO standards among technical and construction teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather and validate progress information from construction, technical, procurement, and quantity surveying teams.
• Develop weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries including KPIs such as planned vs. actual progress, S-curves, and milestones.
• Monitor schedule adherence to baseline plans, identify delays, analyze root causes, and coordinate recovery plans with the Planning team.
• Track project cost status in collaboration with QS and Cost Control teams, including commitments, forecasts, and variations.
• Update and maintain project risk and issue registers and oversee mitigation until resolution.
• Manage change control by tracking requests, variation orders, and their impacts on schedule and budget.
• Oversee action item trackers, document meeting minutes, and follow up on decisions from project and management meetings.
• Coordinate between contractors, consultants, and internal departments to resolve interface issues.
• Ensure adherence to PMO procedures, templates, and reporting standards across project teams.
• Assist the PMO Manager with audits, lessons-learned sessions, and handover documentation preparation.
• Prepare and deliver data and presentation materials for client, steering committee, and head office reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction/Project Management.
• PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification preferred; Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) accreditation is a plus.

Experience Requirements

• 5 to 10 years in project controls or PMO roles, with a minimum of 3 years on high-rise or large-scale building projects.
• Experience working with clients, Project Management Consultants (PMC), or consultants in a reporting role.
• Preferred prior experience in GCC or Saudi Arabia projects.

Skills and Tools

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for schedule analysis.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI (or similar tools) for reporting dashboards.
• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM), risk management, and change control procedures.
• Familiarity with document control systems and project platforms such as Aconex or Procore.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and confidence working with senior-level stakeholders.
