This opportunity is posted on behalf of Asalah Residence Company, a subsidiary of Mohammad Al-Habib Company.
Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will be stationed on-site and responsible for daily cost management activities for high-rise tower projects. This includes performing quantity take-offs, measurements, valuations, and generating cost reports to support the project's commercial operations. The role ensures timely and accurate cost data is maintained at the site level.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct precise quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and BOQs covering substructure, superstructure, MEP, and finishes for high-rise construction projects.
- Prepare interim payment certifications/applications for contractors and subcontractors based on verified quantities of work completed.
- Assist in the preparation and review of BOQs, cost estimates, and tender-related documentation.
- Monitor variation orders, processing them with required documentation and validation.
- Track site progress relative to measured quantities and contribute to project progress reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive cost records, registers, and databases related to materials, labor, and subcontractor accounts.
- Support reconciliation of subcontractor accounts and aid in preparing final accounts.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, and planning and procurement teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date cost information.
- Assist the QS Manager in producing monthly cost reports, forecasting cash flows, and monitoring budgets.
- Ensure strict adherence to contract terms such as FIDIC or equivalent concerning measurement and valuation procedures.
- Identify potential cost overruns or discrepancies early and inform the QS Manager accordingly.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similarly relevant fields.
- Between 5 and 8 years of practical experience in quantity surveying.
- Demonstrated expertise with high-rise building projects is essential.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate fluently in both Arabic and English.

- Strong communication capabilities to liaise effectively with site engineers and subcontractor teams.
- Capability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
