Plumber

Job Overview

This role involves repairing minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, assembling pipe sections and fittings, and testing pipelines or plumbing components with water or air to locate leaks. The plumber will also review construction blueprints, building codes, and specifications, plan installations by inspecting structures, and measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.

Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining plumbing assemblies, valves, appliances, and fixtures, conducting minor repairs, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and adhering to safety policies and procedures. The role also requires reporting any safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety certifications and training, maintaining a professional appearance, and safeguarding company confidential information and property.

Guest Interaction & Workplace Conduct

The plumber will greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, and communicate clearly and professionally. Ensuring quality standards and expectations are met is essential.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 75 pounds independently.
• Assist with moving items over 100 pounds.
• Manipulate objects of various sizes and weights effectively.
• Bending, stretching above the head and below the knees, crouching, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Climbing up and down ladders.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Additional Duties

Perform any other reasonable work tasks as directed by supervisors.

Education & Experience

A technical, trade, or vocational school diploma is required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of related work experience. Supervisory experience is not necessary.

Mandatory Certifications

• Stationary engineer/boiler operator license.
• Plumber certification.
