Role Overview
The position of Plumber at IREE SOLAR is a full-time, on-site role located in Kingston, Jamaica. The primary responsibilities involve installing, assembling, and maintaining plumbing systems that support both solar and conventional water infrastructure. Daily duties include inspecting plumbing setups, troubleshooting issues, conducting maintenance and repairs, assessing system functionality, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The plumber will coordinate closely with installation and engineering teams, interpret technical blueprints, and keep customers and colleagues informed with clear updates. Additionally, the role requires responsible management of tools and materials, proper documentation of work completed, and dedication to maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in plumbing installation, diagnosis, and safe system operation.
- Experience handling pipes, fittings, valves, and components in residential or commercial environments.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance and timely repair of plumbing systems.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication and respect towards clients and teammates.
- Relevant vocational plumbing training or certification and possession of a valid trade license when applicable.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices pertaining to plumbing and solar-associated water systems.
- Ability to perform on-site duties under varying weather conditions, including handling moderate physical loads and safely operating hand and power tools.
- Dependability, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to function independently as well as collaboratively within project teams.
