Role Overview
The Master Carpenter position is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This role requires execution of advanced carpentry tasks, including precise planning, measurement, cutting, and assembling of building components and fixtures suitable for both residential and commercial properties. Key duties involve structural framing, finish carpentry including installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, partitions, and customized wooden elements adhering strictly to project guidelines and safety standards.
The role also demands selection of suitable materials, safe operation and upkeep of manual and powered carpentry tools, problem-solving on site, and effective collaboration with supervisors, technical staff, and different trade teams to ensure punctual and high-grade project completion. Additionally, the Master Carpenter assists with preventive maintenance tasks, repair works, and ensures adherence to company quality, safety, and client satisfaction benchmarks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrable expertise in carpentry covering structural building, repairs, and custom woodworking.
- Proficient in framing methods for walls, ceilings, partitions, and similar constructions.
- Experienced with finish carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, windows, custom cabinetry, trimming, and intricate joinery work.
- Competent in the secure and skillful use of power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns.
- Proficient with hand tools like chisels, planes, levels, measuring instruments, and hand saws.
- Possesses at least 5 to 7 years of professional carpentry experience, ideally within facility or property maintenance fields.
- Familiar with applicable building codes, safety rules, and best practice standards in construction and maintenance.
- Effective communicator able to work well within multidisciplinary teams.
- Physically capable of performing onsite duties involving lifting, standing, and prolonged tool handling.
