Technician - Welding

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate spare parts, underground high voltage electrical joint boxes, and workshop tools according to technical drawings to support equipment maintenance.
• Perform structural repairs and modifications on lifting equipment such as container cranes, mobile cranes, and RTGs to meet operational demands.
• Ensure welding techniques comply fully with DP World standards, safety protocols, and procedures to maintain a secure workspace.
• Select appropriate welding methods and pre-heating processes tailored for each specific job accurately and effectively.
• Verify availability of safe working platforms before commencing work on equipment like cranes.
• Complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes to prevent operational delays.
• Stay updated with emerging welding methods and new tools to enhance existing materials and improve techniques.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Associate Technicians as needed to uphold consistent work quality throughout the organization.
