About the Role

Join Mears Group PLC, a leading UK provider of housing and care services, as a Plasterer based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. This full-time, permanent position offers an annual salary of £35,431.23, along with a company van and fuel card. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, you will contribute to high-quality repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties, delivering excellent customer service to improve homes in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform plastering repairs and refurbishment works in occupied homes
  • Carry out general plastering tasks including partition building, strapping, plating, plaster finishing, and rough casting
  • Complete maintenance and repair works efficiently and to agreed quality standards within set deadlines
  • Identify faults and undertake repairs aiming for first-time completion
  • Maintain high standards of customer service with residents and stakeholders
  • Utilise handheld technology to manage work orders, documentation, and compliance
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and supplies in line with procedures
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required
  • Participate in emergency call out duties when necessary

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in plastering including rough casting
  • Knowledge or experience in multiple trades is advantageous
  • Possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points and held for over 3 months
  • Capable of independently working within occupied properties
  • Strong dedication to customer service, quality workmanship, and adherence to health and safety regulations

Drivers must be over 21 with a valid UK driving licence held for more than three months and less than nine driving penalty points.
