Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Underground Maintenance Superintendent, the Planner Scheduler is tasked with ensuring that all maintenance activities are thoroughly planned and properly resourced. This involves developing feasible maintenance plans with confirmed materials, manpower, and services, spanning short to long-term horizons ranging from one week to five years. The position supports maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, and engineering teams to optimize timely maintenance while minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short, medium, and long-term maintenance plans aligned with the Maintenance Superintendent's guidance and budget constraints.
- Efficiently plan maintenance activities and resource allocation to meet equipment standards and reduce downtime.
- Maintain planning and reporting systems at acceptable performance standards.
- Ensure optimal use of available resources through effective planning.
- Create and distribute comprehensive maintenance plans and periodic reports accurately and punctually.
- Maintain timely and precise information flow regarding maintenance operations.
- Execute specific project management system responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards, risk assessments, and proper documentation for all maintenance procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a tertiary level qualification in engineering or equivalent experience in mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience within mining or heavy industry fields.
- Valid unrestricted New Zealand work rights or visa.
- Hold a full Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
