We are currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor or HR Generalist for a 12-month fixed-term position within our People Matters team based in Auckland. The consultant will provide pragmatic and commercially sound advice on employee relations, HR policies, and legal compliance, partnering with leadership to foster positive workplace outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise managers and staff on HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement strategies.
- Conduct workplace investigations and manage disciplinary procedures with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support absence management, wellbeing programs, and flexible working arrangements.
- Contribute to organizational change initiatives.
- Work alongside Employment Law and Compliance teams to reduce risks and ensure adherence to standards.
- Engage in global HR projects and ongoing improvement efforts.
Candidate Profile and Required Skills
- Approximately two years' experience in employee relations or a versatile HR advisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities.
- Capability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and ethical standards.
- Analytical thinking and proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office.
- Effective organization and project management skills.
- Experience with change management implementation.
