Payroll Manager

About the Role

Fletcher Construction, now part of the global VINCI Construction group, is undergoing an exciting transformation by bringing payroll services in-house. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager who will play a pivotal role in establishing our future payroll function and collaborates closely with the Project Manager - Payroll Transition for the seamless implementation of PayGlobal.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager - Payroll Transition to facilitate the successful deployment of PayGlobal.
• Serve as the payroll subject matter expert, contributing to system design, testing, data migration, cutover, and business readiness efforts.
• Develop and lead Fletcher Construction's new payroll team and oversee the payroll function.
• Manage comprehensive payroll operations, ensuring compliance and delivering reliable payroll services.
• Promote payroll governance, enforce controls, and drive ongoing improvements in payroll processes.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex payroll operations effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with PayGlobal, Chris21, or comparable enterprise payroll systems.
• Proven experience with payroll system implementation, including testing and data migration.
• Strong leadership capabilities, adept stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills.
• Dedication to accuracy, customer service excellence, and continuous enhancement of payroll functions.
