Role Overview
Join Fletcher Construction as an Administrator at the Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi project in Lower Hutt. This role places you at the heart of site operations, ensuring the smooth running of the project office. You'll support the project team by managing day-to-day administrative tasks, coordinating communications, and keeping organizational details on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily administration and reception duties within a dynamic project environment.
- Arrange meetings, prepare relevant documentation, manage minutes, and circulate updates effectively.
- Handle timesheet submissions, leave applications, onboarding processes, and maintain accurate staff records.
- Process purchasing and procurement paperwork using project-specific systems.
- Maintain site registers, track visitors, and manage office supplies and facilities.
- Coordinate office events, catering services, courier logistics, and general support activities to ensure seamless operational flow.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in administration within a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or related trades is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confident and clear communicator, adept at fostering positive relationships with site teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
- A proactive, practical mindset with initiative to identify and resolve issues to completion.
Project Background
The Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is advancing transport, walking, and cycling upgrades at the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, contributing to broader flood protection and urban revitalisation efforts. Fletcher Construction collaborates with partners including AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui, and Ngāti Toa Rangatira on this transformative initiative.
