Role Overview
The Department of Education in Western Australia is establishing a pool of Payroll Advisers for various full-time and part-time positions available from 2026 through to September 2027. These roles involve coordinating efficient and quality assured payroll service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. The Payroll Adviser role offers expert guidance by investigating complex payroll enquiries and complaints and suggesting suitable solutions. This role also includes line management responsibilities, overseeing and developing a small team, and fostering a customer-centric, improvement-driven environment.
About Business and Payroll Services
The Business and Customer Services Directorate aims to support organizational goals by providing cost-effective corporate services led by skilled personnel, operating standardized systems and processes. The Payroll Services Branch manages salary, leave, superannuation, and salary packaging records, ensuring timely and accurate payments to over 75,000 employees across WA public schools, regional, and central offices.
