Partner Solutions Architect, ANZ-PS

Role Overview

As a Partner Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will establish and nurture technical alliances with partners of diverse scales, acting as their trusted advisor to ensure exceptional experiences with AWS and, most importantly, with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical partnership between AWS and partner organizations, assisting them in supporting AWS customers through informed recommendations on security, cost management, performance enhancement, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as the advocate for partners within AWS by communicating their requirements and feedback to influence the development roadmap for AWS features and partner programs.
• Innovatively connect advanced technologies to practical solutions, aiding partners in achieving shared objectives focused on improving interactions within Government, Education, and Health sectors.
• Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices, technical documentation, reference architectures such as white papers, code examples, and blog articles.
• Promote and educate partners about AWS technologies through workshops, user groups, speaking engagements, online media, and conferences.
• Collaborate within the sales division to understand partner business and technological challenges, designing cloud-based solutions that utilize AWS offerings.
• Dedicate time to continuous professional development and experimentation with emerging AWS technologies and cloud trends.

Team Dynamics

Solutions Architects are regarded as technical thought leaders who advocate for the adoption of new technologies, playing an instrumental role in promoting cloud computing capabilities in the public sector. They employ creative problem-solving to deliver cost-effective, secure, and efficient solutions aligned with partner requirements.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of expertise in targeted technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on application and infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to conduct presentations and engage with various stakeholders including executives, IT teams, management, and developers.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, customer demographics, industry segments, and cloud architecture principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience migrating or modernizing traditional customer systems to cloud platforms.
• Background in leading or contributing to enterprise-scale software development following structured system development lifecycles.
