Job description

About the Role and Company

pay.com.au, a fintech platform facilitating over $10 billion in business payments since 2019 and trusted by more than 70,000 Australian businesses for BAS, payroll, superannuation, and supplier payments, is expanding. Following a recent $53 million raise valuing the company above $633 million and a launch in the US, pay.com.au is building a channel targeting accounting and bookkeeping practices who not only use the platform but also recommend it to their clients.

They are looking to hire Partner Managers in Melbourne to spearhead this initiative.

Key Details

  • Base salary range: $85,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation
  • On target earnings (OTE): $130,000 to $145,000
  • Quarterly commission, with heavier weighting towards referrals than sign-ups
  • Business Development Representatives (BDRs) assist by scheduling meetings
  • Work setup: hybrid model with three to four days in the Melbourne office
  • Office environment includes a new, three-floor building with Thursday lunch events

Role Responsibilities

  • Secure accounting practices as clients who transact on the platform and encourage their client referrals
  • Maintain a minimum weekly target of 20 meetings
  • Prospect and persistently engage practices that may sign up but do not initially refer clients, including follow-up visits to facilitate ease of referral
  • Develop convincing business cases to encourage accountants, who are numerically focused, to engage beyond just signing agreements
  • Build and maintain your own sales pipeline without reliance on fully booked diaries
  • Professionally represent the company in meetings with accounting professionals and anticipate needs beyond sign-up

Preferred Experience and Skills

While partnerships or business development backgrounds are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
