Painter

Overview

Programmed Property Services invites applications for an experienced, dependable Painter to join their established commercial painting team located in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who is proud of their workmanship, values teamwork, and prioritizes safety at the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, and patching to ensure quality painting results.
• Apply paints and protective coatings using various methods including brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Perform both interior and exterior painting tasks across commercial and maintenance projects.
• Operate safely on ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Protect nearby surfaces and maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
• Comply with project specifications, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and company safety policies.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors, fellow painters, and other trades to achieve project goals.
• Consistently deliver professional quality workmanship alongside excellent customer service.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a trade qualification in Painting and Decorating.
• Previous experience in commercial and/or residential painting roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in surface preparation and finishing techniques.
• Hold a valid Construction White Card.
• Possess a current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Maintain a firm commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Capability to work both independently and under guidance.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.

Licenses or tickets for Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), Working at Heights, or other relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
