Paint Sales Associate - Full Time

Position Overview

As a Paint Sales Associate, you will deliver prompt, friendly service by actively engaging customers and assessing their requirements. Your expertise in department and product knowledge will help you offer detailed information about product features and associated items to support complete project sales. You will be responsible for greeting, assisting, and thanking customers in your department and providing basic help in related areas, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to The Home Depot's GET Model: Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers.
• Proactively approach customers throughout the store, guiding them to the appropriate merchandise across departments.
• Ask open-ended questions to understand the customer's project scope and skill level.
• Promote additional services like Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, and Pro Services.
• Drive sales by discussing options (good, better, best) and recommend complementary products beyond the department.
• Educate customers on full project requirements.
• Utilize empowerment programs to resolve customer inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain daily stock by ensuring products are properly signed, displayed, and clean.
• Build and maintain product and service knowledge within department and adjacent areas.
• Follow all safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• The role requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
• You will work in a warehouse setting that might be dusty and noisy.
• Store doors are often open, which results in drafts and temperature variations inside.
• Work schedule may include flexible hours, such as evenings and weekends.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of retail or trade experience is advantageous.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $18.9 to $19.9 per hour.
