Job description

Job Overview

The position involves handling and sorting freight within a warehouse setting. Tasks include loading, unloading, scanning, and organizing packages efficiently to ensure smooth facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight shipments accurately
  • Scan and sort packages within the warehouse facility

Candidate Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred
  • Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully complete required initial and recurring training programs
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment

Additional Information

  • Grade level for position: 79
  • Pay rate: $20.37 per hour
  • Shift schedule:
    • Monday to Wednesday, 1:30 AM to 9:30 AM
    • Thursday to Saturday, 2:00 AM to 9:30 AM
  • Must be able to operate within a Windows PC environment
  • Flexible to work various shifts depending on business requirements
