Job description
Job Overview
The position involves handling and sorting freight within a warehouse setting. Tasks include loading, unloading, scanning, and organizing packages efficiently to ensure smooth facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight shipments accurately
- Scan and sort packages within the warehouse facility
Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to successfully complete required initial and recurring training programs
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment
Additional Information
- Grade level for position: 79
- Pay rate: $20.37 per hour
- Shift schedule:
• Monday to Wednesday, 1:30 AM to 9:30 AM
• Thursday to Saturday, 2:00 AM to 9:30 AM - Must be able to operate within a Windows PC environment
- Flexible to work various shifts depending on business requirements
