Job Overview and Requirements
This full-time courier position located in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, requires a High School diploma or its equivalent. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, specifically a Full G license, with a strong driving record, reflected by no more than two violations or accidents within the past two years.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and maneuver those up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment.
- Deliver packages efficiently within FedEx Canada operational guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with Canadian Customs regulations and company policies.
- Operate computer systems running Windows to complete tasks and training.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational capabilities.
- Manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
- Be flexible in scheduling, including working different shifts and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of customer-focused business experience is preferred.
- Some familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs procedures is advantageous.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required for candidates residing in Quebec.
Additional Information
The shift hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The position demands passing mandatory pre-placement driver assessments and maintaining required annual certifications. The job description is a general overview and may require performing additional duties as needed.
