Job description

Job Overview

This role involves managing freight operations such as loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting packages within the warehouse facility. Candidates will be expected to handle physical tasks efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and company procedures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight in the warehouse.
  • Scan and sort packages accurately.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and communication.
  • Ability to complete all basic and recurring training successfully.
  • Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds and maneuver packages up to 150 pounds using the necessary equipment.
  • Must be proficient in operating PC windows environment.
  • For Quebec residents, bilingualism in French and English is required.

Additional Conditions

The role requires flexibility to work varying shifts according to business needs and maintaining relevant annual accreditations. Candidates with driving responsibilities must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record with no more than two violations or accidents in the preceding 24 months. The selection process includes review of driving abstracts and competency assessments.

Compensation

This position offers an hourly wage of $20.37.
