Job description
Position Overview
This role is centered on providing prompt and polite package pick-up and delivery along designated routes, ensuring shipments comply with FedEx Canada service standards, and performing related customer service duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Capability to lift up to 70 pounds and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 pounds using proper equipment
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a customer-focused business environment
- Completion of mandatory pre-placement driver assessment with minimum threshold
- Basic understanding of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to flexible schedules including holidays as per business demands
Additional Information
The job description is an overview and does not encompass all possible duties. Candidates must be able to work within a PC Windows environment, complete ongoing training, maintain accreditations, and be willing to take varying shifts. Specific to Quebec residents: bilingual fluency in French and English is required. Driver eligibility includes possessing a Class 5, G, or 1(AZ) license with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months. Candidates will be evaluated on driver abstract, interview performance, and any driver competency assessments conducted.
