Job description
Position Overview
This role requires providing polite and efficient pickup and delivery of packages on assigned routes, ensuring all shipments comply with FedEx Canada's service specifications, and delivering related customer support.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Lift packages up to 70 lbs manually and handle items up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- Preferably possess at least one year of customer-focused business experience.
- Successfully complete mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is beneficial.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and time management abilities.
- Deliver excellent customer service while multitasking and managing stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work varying schedules and holidays according to business demands.
Additional Information
This is a permanent full-time position with workdays from Monday to Saturday, starting around 6:30 AM. The job description is general and not exhaustive. Applicants might need to pass various mandatory tests and training, including competency and recurrence training to maintain certifications. Operating a PC Windows environment is necessary. Those residing in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license (e.g., Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]) with no more than two violations/accidents during the previous 24 months. Evaluation will include review of driving abstracts, interview performance, and driver competency assessments.
